DETAILS
Private lessons will be held at Nadia’s Rhythm Room on designated weekends (mostly Sundays). To find out when and who will be teaching please use this google doc. Dates are added often, and time slots usually sell out, so check in often if you want a spot.
You can sign up as a lead or follow. Private lessons can be up to three people with one instructor or five with two instructors. This is a really great way to split costs, get a lot of information, and start establishing practice partners to play around with.
HOW TO SIGN UP
Go to the google doc and put your name down for the time slot(s) that you want. 25min = $35 and 50min = $60. Cash or check. After that you need to email lablueskitchen@gmail.com with your phone number and we will confirm your lesson. That’s it!
Feel free to look forward and book for any weekend you see on the spreadsheet. We would appreciate if you try to schedule yourself in a slot next to someone else to make our day a bit nicer. Thank you.
WHAT TO DO BEFORE THE LESSON
First, confirm your lesson. Then we will send you a little homework! Just a two-sided sheet that helps us determine where you are, where you want to go, and how we can both get the most from your lesson time. Print it out, fill it out, and bring it with you.
Bringing a notepad is also a really good idea. If you plan to take a number of privates, we strongly encourage you to buy a notebook and start detailing your progress. (We will do this with you!) We might also give you some homework which can also be done in the notebook. (We have about 20 yellow notepads just for myself!)
LATE POLICY
Please show up a bit early (15 min is usually a good target). If you are late to a booked lesson you lose that time. We cannot let your lesson run late into another person’s time. Our official policy will be that any time you have booked you will be charged for.
And to set the example, if we are late we will provide that time for free. Example: if I am 15 min late, you get 15 minutes free. If we have to cancel without one day’s notice, you next lesson is free.
THANK YOU
Privates are one of my favorite ways to interact with a few people on a more personal and focused level. I really appreciate the opportunity to work with people and see the kind of progress that privates can help create.
Thank you all and I will see you in the Blues Kitchen.
